The beach offers parasailing, jet skiing, volley ball, and unforgettable sunset viewing. The beach is very popular with locals and it is a Sarasota tourism destination. Although snowbirds and locals flock to this beach it is an immensely large beach so you will not feel crowded. This beach is a great way to get in touch with the Sarasota culture and lifestyle. I recommend visiting Siesta Key beach on Sunday because every Sunday there is a sunset drum circle that always draws a crowd. For those seasonal renters who seek a more private beach Lido Key is the right answer. This beach offers great gulf viewing and the northern most section of the beach is quite secluded.
After all of those activities I’m sure you have developed a healthy appetite. The best place to find fine restaurants and ritzy shoppes is St. Armands Circle. Considered by many to be Sarasota’s shopping gem it has over 100 fine shoppes and it is only steps from Lido Key Beach.
